Adding the local variable to the Browse

After the creation of the local variable as per the steps mentioned above, the local variable can be added to the browse as well if required.

  • To add the local variable to the browse, select the desired widget/field from the screen editor and click on ‘Add to Browse’ icon displayed on the toolbar of the screen editor. Here we use the field v-budget1 to add to browse.
  • A browse field record will automatically be created.
  • Next, open the Multi-language Visual Designer from right panel and enter a column name that needs to be displayed for the local variable which is added to the browse.
  • Here, the column name Budget is added in the field Column label as shown in right portion of the image below.
  • Now, when the program is viewed, it is noticed that the newly added local variable is now visible in the browse as a new column with the column labelled as Budget as shown in the image below.
