AppServer configuration

We can choose a Progress AppServer which is invoked through the Java Servlet ‘AppInterface’. This servlet is developed by Javra Software specifically for the HTML5 application.

NOTE: We recommend installing AppServer on the same physical machine as the Database. This maximizes performance and minimizes network traffic.

The AppServer should be configured using the Progress 10.2B (or above)OpenEdge Management Console.

Note:The default port for OpenEdge Management Console is 9090 unless otherwise configured differently.
