Enable default lookups

Alternatively, we can add default lookups for fields that do not contain default lookups by default (when fields were added to program).

In the XE Developer Studio, go to your program.
Select a widget for which Default Lookup needs to be enabled. Here we select field CustNum for demonstration purposes.
From the right panel > tab Widgets > section Widget Field/Lookup Properties, check the Def Lookup option.

Save the above changes.
Now, when you re-open the c/custmord.p program, the CustNum field will have the customer lookup enabled, indicated by the ‘*’ marked on the widget label.
You may open the lookup for this field by clicking the right mouse button, the lookup will be displayed as shown in figure below:
