Dump Data (ASCII/XML) JNL xfiles

In Javra IDE, while working on certain programs, there are few data changes made in the fields of certain tables associated with the programs. These changes are required to be reflected in the HTML5 Client database so that the data remains consistent throughout. For this purpose users are required to dump those data files which contain changed data in the fields, and then later reload those files.

This is done through this submenu where, users can dump the data files in the location specified in the File directory field, as shown in the figure below:

The table below gives a brief description of the fields in this submenu.

Field Description
File directory In this field the location where the increments are stored is entered.In this case “D:\proj\xe70\db\xfiles\incr\”. Here Sports2000 is considered as the customer database.
Reserved flag There are three options in this field: Ignore, False and True.Ignore: This option is selected to allow the dump be taken irrespective of the fields being reserved or private.False: This option is selected to take the dump of those data files for which the fields are not reserved.True: This option is selected to take the dump of only those fields or files that are reserved.
Use Send date Selecting this option requires the user to enter the From and To dates within the Date send from to Date send to fields.All the selected files which were changed or modified during this entered period range will be dumped.
Use DB send It’s an audit field where the DB location is entered. For ex: SVN
Use Sequence Selecting this option requires to enter the Sequence* name we want to use.It appends the maximum sequence number of the entered sequence name, to the filename of the dump file.
Changed by In this field the user names are entered, by which the selected files have been updated.
Selected Files This field lists down all the files that have been selected to be dumped.
Where The condition or query required while dumping the data files is entered in this field.
Disable triggers Select this checkbox in order to disable the triggers while dumping the files.
Reset DB send This option is selected to reset the Use DB send location automatically after the dumping of the files is completed, so that while dumping the data files the next time a new location can be entered in the Use DB send.
DB in OS name While dumping the DB name is used in the .d file
Append files Will append the data within the .d data file
Create xml Selecting this option will create a .xml data dump file.
One file This option is selected to create a single ‘.d’ or ‘.xml‘ dump file for all the selected data files that need to be dumped.
Use system dir Selecting this option will locate the created data dump file in the default system EDI directory.
Use DB dir Selecting this option will locate the created data dump file in the database EDI directory.
Dump deleted Selecting this option, would dump the deleted data files also.
Dump languages Selecting this option will dump the languages data files.
Dump mirrored Selecting this option will dump the mirrored data files.

After specifying the required values, click on ‘Click here to run Print/Batch‘ toolbar and then on ‘Print’ button of new pop-up window. Your data will then be dumped on the specified directory.
