Create Default Trigger

To create the default triggers, open the Default changes program from the menu: X/E-Files > X/E Tools > Default changes

• The database field shows the selected database which is the first database from the .pf file, i.e. the customer database (e.g. sports2000 here) should be kept on top of the xfiles database in the .pf file.
• Enter the file directory where the trigger programs are to be generated. It is automatically filled with the Program Dir value from the System Defaults.

Note: You don’t need to provide the sub-directory name, e.g. in screen above for table ‘Customer’, sub-directory is taken as ‘c’ and if it does not already exist in the output directory then it will be created automatically.

• From the File selection list, select the table(s) whose triggers are to be created.
• You can also create an incremental .df file to add the audit fields like xstac, xlevc, xdepc to the selected table(s), as shown highlighted rectangle box towards the top-right corner of the screen.
• Once all the details are entered, click on the toolbar icon [], to generate the triggers.
