Keyboard Shortcuts

Javra IDE provides a convenient method to access the program using customizable keyboard shortcuts. In order to reduce the steps required to go to a selected program used for daily computing, it is possible to set specific keys to open a particular program. Here is how it is done.

  • Create a new record in shortkey table under X/E Files >X/E Master file > Shortkeys
Shortkeys program
Figure: Shortkeys program

Following is a short description of all the labels present in the above figure. By understanding the purpose of each label, you must be able to customize it as per your requirement.

Labels Description
Shortkey Define the function for which the shortkey is being used
Description Description over the shortkey
Program Name of the program being accessed
Authorize Security Used to allow access permissions
Value Name of the key assigned from the keyboard
Reserved Reserved for X/E Files Framework
Private Can be customised by the User
Changed by Audit information that describes the last person that changed the information
Send To Audit information that describes the last resource that the information was sent to
Status Audit information that describes the status of the Key

There are a few limitations however, to the use of keyboard shortcuts. A button cannot be used more than once throughout the IDE and a few keys may not function as expected in the web version, but they are available to the GUI version.

There are a few keys used universally through the Javra IDE, however they are available only for GUI version currently.
