Dump Programs

Through the program on this submenu, users can dump certain programs within which changes have been made.

Dump programs is the dumping of menu/programs and it may dump data from different tables associated with the program.

Dumping programs can only be in the form of XML. The information that is in this XML file will be exactly the same as it is defined. Any program can be dumped to the local drive. It is always recommended that a ‘prog‘ folder is to be created to locate the dump programs in the folder so that it can be retrieved as needed.

The table below gives a brief description of the fields in this program.

Field Description
File directory In this field the location where the ‘.xml’ data file needs to be dumped is entered.Usually the path “\db\xfiles\prog\” is the location where the ‘.xml’ data files are dumped.
Reserved flag There are three options in this field: Ignore, False and True. Ignore: This option is selected to allow the dump be taken irrespective of the fields being reserved or private. False: This option is selected to take the dump of those data files for which the fields are not reserved.True: This option is selected to take the dump of only those fields or files that are reserved.
Use Send date Selecting this option requires the user to enter the From and To dates within the Date send from to Date send to fields.All the selected files which were changed or modified during this entered period range will be dumped.
Use DB send It’s an audit field where the DB location is entered. For ex: SVN
Users In this field the user names are entered, by which the selected files have been updated.
Programs This field lists down all the programs that have been selected to be dumped.
Disable triggers Select this checkbox in order to disable the triggers while dumping the files.
DB in OS name While dumping the DB name is used in the .xml file
Append files Will append the data within the .xml data file
Create xml Selecting this option will create an .xml data dump file.
One file This option is selected to create a single ‘.xml’ dump file for all the selected data files that need to be dumped.
Use system dir Selecting this option will locate the created data dump file in the default system directory.
Dump program recursive Selecting this option will dump all the programs that have the mentioned program in Programs field as parent program.In HTML5 Client the same program can be included under different menu and same program can have different tab programs under different menu.
Dump menu entry Selecting this option will dump the Menu entry.

After specifying the necessary fields, click on ‘Click here to run Print/Batch‘ toolbar your program data will be dumped in the specified directory in ‘.xml’ format.
